  • Designed and architected the infrastructure needed to support a Gamification module for a Learning/Training system used by employees of Ford Dealerships across the country. This module features the integration with a Gamification solutions vendor named Bunch ball which provides the base API as REST services which needed to be aggregated, cached and transformed in order to satisfy the existing requirements of this specific project. A WCF service was also developed to allow external partners to report and consume game related information.
  • Designed, architected and led development of Smart builder for BlackBerry. The platform powering this system allows building customized solutions tailored after a set of individual answers provided as input. In the case of RIM, it was used to recommend the best BlackBerry solution based on the specific needs of small businesses. A WCF service allows client applications or sites to communicate with the building engine using protocols such as SOAP, REST, JSON, etc. Also, as part of this solution a no-frills Lead Management System was created to allow BlackBerry partners to follow leads of small businesses interested in the BlackBerry product after their solutions were built.

Conducted most technical interviews for developers and provided recommendations as part of the hiring process.

Mentored and trained developers on adopting industry recognized patterns and practices for software development processes.

  • Led development of Incentives & Learning platform for RIM. This family of sites, based on a proprietary loyalty platform owned by Maritz Canada Inc. and customized for RIM, includes a User Portal, an Incentives site and a Learning site. By using these sites RIM partners and employees can participate on Incentives programs and get rewarded based on different criteria, learn about the RIM products, take courses, get certified, redeem products from a catalogue. All these sites have a mobile version based on a mobile framework which allows the content to be rendered and optimized according to the device capabilities.
  • Designed, architected and led development Multiple Messaging System Service. This service, based on WCF, acts as a messaging gateway allowing messages to be delivered to multiple targets abstracting the details of the delivery itself from the client applications. Supported targets for messages are Email, SMS, X, Facebook, etc.
  • Led initial development of scene.ca. This loyalty program allows its participants to earn points that can be redeemed as movie tickets or concessions purchases. This project was implemented using Microsoft .Net (C#) and Microsoft SQL Server technologies. It includes a customer web site, a contact center web site, SOAP based web services, content management, messaging and daily data files transfers and processing.
  • Designed and developed a complete rewrite of the Goodyear Dealer Challenge. This web- based application was used by employees of Goodyear stores across Canada to compete as teams and get rewarded based on their knowledge of the Goodyear product.
